Employment: Software Developer

Solertium Corporation is seeking an entry-level software developer to become a part of our web-based application development team.  This person will assist in the development of applications and software components, troubleshoot and resolve software defects, and collaborate with other staff on customer projects.

Required Skills and Attributes:

• Existing knowledge of basic web and Internet markup technologies, including HTML, CSS, and XML
• Proficiency in the Java programming language through JDK 1.5
• Experience with the Eclipse IDE and WTP
• Experience working in a team using CVS or Subversion version control
• Experience with databases including the ability to create relational tables and complex SQL queries
• Employee must be an inquisitive self-starter, not afraid to ask questions or strike out independently in a promising direction

Preferred Skills and Attributes

• Experience with other high level languages used in web environments: Ruby, PHP, Perl, etc.
• Experience with Linux and MySQL
• Knowledge of at least one non-English spoken language.
• Interest and willingness to travel on business as availability and schedule permit.
